Samhain was first observed by Celtic Pagans. Samhain marked the Celtic New Year, the end of summer, and the end of the harvest season. It also signalled the beginning of winter, which they associated with death. On this day, the Celts believed the veil between the living and the dead was especially thin.

As above, so below.

As within so without.

Let us explore the cycles of life and the reflection of self. This opportunity presents itself year in and year out to take a dive into self. Embrace the darkness fully as we approach the thick of winter.

The exact dates in Australia are Evening of Tue, 30 Apr 2024 – Wed, 1 May 2024

I have chosen Saturday 4th May in line with World Labyrinth Day and it being a weekend too.

YOUR JOURNEY will begin with circle space and establishing our sacred container.

We walk the labyrinth as a walking meditation..held by the Tall Ones and the Rock Spirits.

I warmly invite you to come…walk your body…your soul…and be in your own experience.

We will perform a Despacho Ceremony to commune with nature. Each of us will bring only one type of wholefood (nuts, rice, candies, chocolate, fruit…) the logistics of what to bring will be sent to you prior to the day. From our shared bounty we will co create and collaborate a beautiful food and flower mandala to offer the land.

There will be a fire releasing ceremony once dusk nears. I will guide us through a reflections practice and we will have an opportunity to release via burning, dancing, chanting and free expression.

I invite you to bring a lantern. To take from the fire and light your way through the darkness. You can carry this flame home and allow it to burn safely.

Together, we bear witness to the power, majesty and energy of darkness, and its service Earth and the Cosmos.

LOGISTICS:

Prior to the event, you will receive an email with the address and parking recommendations.

FINAL NOTE: As my beloved Alfie transitioned to the greater otherworldy realm, it feel poignant to be gathering with you at this time. Gleaning the time of loss and reflect on great loves gone. And the connection that still exists.
